TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Bank Holidays
Bone Rangers close for all Bank Holidays. We also close for the period between Christmas and New Year. If you do require walks over this time please let me know in advance although we cannot guarantee 100% that you will have a walker.
Rates
Our one to one walks are split by price into two categories -
The Best Buddy - the same dedicated walker every walk, every day.
The Dream Team - a fabulous team of four walkers will take charge of your dog with everyone having a primary walker and then three back ups. We do not guarantee the same walker every day but we guarantee a fantastic walk every time.
The Ranger (60 mins) Our most popular walk which suits almost all dogs. An hour long walk will ensure your dog gets plenty of outdoor exercise and also a few cuddles at home. (Our more senior/ junior customers may prefer to split this walk into exercise and then quieter time at home).
Best Buddy: £18 for one dog, £23 for two dogs from the same home, £23 at the weekend
Dream Team: £15 for one dog, £20 for two dogs from the same home, £20 at the weekend
The Long Ranger (90 mins) Designed for larger breeds or dogs who need a bit more exercise in their day.
Best Buddy: £23 for one dog, £28 for two dogs from the same home, £28 at the weekend
Dream Team: £20 for one dog, £25 for two dogs from the same home, £25 at the weekend
The Power Ranger (120 mins) An extra long walk for the bounciest of dogs or those who would like to explore further afield on their walks. Going to be back late from work? A longer walk will ensure your dog has had plenty of exercise during the day and will be happy and tired at home until you get back.
Best Buddy: £30 for one dog, £36 for two dogs from the same home, £36 at the weekend
Dream Team: £26 for one dog, £30 for two dogs from the same home, £30 at the weekend
Dog Sitting
Please contact us for more details of our dog sitting service and for a copy of our dog sitting terms and conditions.
Dog Sitting is priced as follows:
Day/Night in client’s home: £40 (2 dogs £50)
Day/Night in sitter’s home: £35 (2 dogs £45)
Number of Walks
We ask for a minimum of 2 walks a week, or 8 in any month.
Payment
Payment is done every calendar month and you will be emailed an invoice detailing how many walks you have had. You will also receive a 'walker card' from your walker which will be marked by day with the number of walks they have completed. Payment is then split between the walker and Bone Rangers.
Please ensure you pay promptly. Our walkers rely on timely payment, and as a small business, cash flow is vital to us. If we do not receive payment within 2 months of invoice we will have to ask your walker to stop the walks and begin charging interest on your outstanding bill.
Please note we pursue all unpaid bills through the small claims court.
Insurance
Bone Rangers use the insurance company Cliverton, which specialise in pet care businesses. This covers all of the walks, replacement keys if they are lost, and dog sitting. Please let us know if you would like a copy of the insurance certificate.
We are able to make claims for any event in which we are liable for, but not for incidents where your dog may be responsible.
Our policy also states that you must give written permission (on email) for your dog to be allowed off the lead once in the park. Please do this as soon as you can so we have it on file - or let us know if your dog is NOT allowed off the lead.
If we do not receive this and you have only given verbal permission to your walker we will not be responsible for any incidents that may occur.
We only accept clients who have their own pet insurance, if you need a recommendation please ask.
Cancellation Policy
As a courtesy to our walkers, please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel a walk. If you cancel on the day of the walk (or out of office hours the day before) you will still be charged.
Trial Period
Once your dog has been with us for a one month trial period, we will review with you how you feel it is going and provide any relevant feedback from our walker.
Notice of Leaving Bone Rangers
If you need to leave our dog walking service at anytime please ensure you give us at least one week’s notice or this will be charged to your last invoice.
Please note - it is a condition of registration that you agree not to negotiate directly with any walker or sitter introduced to you by us at any point. Infringement of this condition will jeopardize any future bookings of this walker/sitter by us. Also you agree to compensate us for any losses caused by any breach of this condition.
Cover Walkers
If your walker is on holiday you will have a cover walker. They will have already met your dog and accompanied your walker on a walk so that they are fully prepared. You will have the cover walker’s details and we can arrange for you to meet them prior to them covering.
In the event of your walker is unable to do a walk at very short notice (illness etc) we will endeavour to replace them with a cover walker but we cannot always guarantee this.
Change of Walkers
We do everything we can to hire walkers who will be available long term as we believe this is the most beneficial arrangement or you and your dog. However, your walker can of course leave Bone Rangers at any time and we cannot guarantee the length of their time with us. We will of course replace them with a new walker you will be happy with and ensure they have a full handover from your outgoing walker.
Communication
If you are not present when we return after the walk, your walker will be leaving a daily entry in a 'Doggie Diary' letting you know how they get on. Please feel free to communicate with your walker through the diary or through email and phone.
Our preferred method of day to day communication is on email but if you would rather we contact you on the phone please do let us know.
Additional Dogs Joining the Walks
Most of our dogs are walked one to one, but if we have another dog join the walks, we will notify you and can also arrange a trial walk if necessary.
Health
All dogs must be fully vaccinated and in good health. Please inform us if your dog(s) is taking any medication that may alter his or her behaviour in any way, or is at all unwell. Please also let us know if your dog is in season.
Behavioural Issues
Please inform us if your dog has any behavioural issues or insecurities that we should know about before we start the walks. We may need you to sign a waiver that states that any incident caused by your dog will have to be covered by your own insurance. If you do not let us know of your dog’s behavioural issues and your dog is involved in an incident, we will not be able to cover this on our insurance.
If we feel your dog's behaviour is in any way unmanageable or a danger to themselves, other dogs or the dog walker, we may have to terminate the walks.
Bone Rangers Tags
All dogs must wear an ID tag with a contact number on it. We can suggest a good place online to order one quickly and cheaply.
Bone Rangers offer all clients a branded tag for free which can be personalised with your dog’s name and/or your phone number. Please contact us if you would like to order one.
Key Lock Boxes
We recommend a key lock box for your house keys (available online) as it will assist us with providing last minute cover walkers and is the safest, most reliable option. If you do not have a key lock box, your walker will keep hold of your keys.
Office Hours
Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. We always try to answer your emails as quickly as possible at all times, but if they fall outside of office hours we cannot always guarantee a reply until the next working day.
Blog
The Bone Rangers blog (boneranging.blogspot.co.uk) features photos sent in by our walkers of some of the dogs out on their walks so you can log on and see them in action. If you would rather not have your dog on the blog please let us know.
